3” lightweight skinner hunting knife. 80crv2 and 15n20 steels.
Handle is orange dyed and stabilized Spalted Tamarind.
80crv2 has great edge toughness and stays sharp for a long time.
The blade shape is great for skinning caping an animal.
This blade is perfect for the hunter looking for light weight gear.
Custom handmade knives by Marc BeanI specialize in Damascus kitchen and hunting knives. I take a great pride in made making functional, heirloom quality knives that will last beyond a lifetime.
I use new known steels that I feel are the best for the application. I spend significant time and effort to provide the best heat treatment for the steels I use. |

How to buy:
Available knives will be listed for sale.
If there are none available, they are made to order, so there is generally a wait time to get one. The process is fairly easy, just let me know what type of type of knife you would like via the contact form below, and and we will go over details. Once the knife is completed then I will contact you for payment. I typically do not need a deposit unless the knife is something unusual. Current pricing starts at $125.00 dollars per inch of cutting edge. Pricing is subject to change due to materials costs. Example is a 3" skinner would start at $370.00. |
